Tell us what your business does?
The Techfynder product is a Software as a Service (SaaS) recruiting platform that enables businesses to hire professional contractors and consultants globally for onsite or remote projects. Saving huge cost and bringing efficiency to the hiring process by applying the latest technologies like artificial intelligence and machine learning to the process.
Where did the idea for your business come from?
I noticed that there were no straightforward platforms that contractors and consultants can use to promote themselves to new businesses and find new opportunities. Given my passion for entrepreneurship, I quickly identified the gap in the market and realised a need for a most comprehensive platform that streamlines the process of hiring professional contractors directly from anywhere in the world.
Have you always wanted to run your own business?
What planning did you do before you started up?
Firstly, I focused on the idea and then I planned out the finance and cost structure to implement it. I spent some time on creating a revenue model if by any circumstances, there is no financial backup, what would my plans be to secure funding. Research on competitor analysis, market analysis, USP, why anyone should use the service, all these points were considered while putting together a business plan for the successful growth and development of Techfynder.

What challenges have you faced and how have you overcome them?
Techfynder was officially launched to the Business Market in Dublin at the end of Feb 2020 and our most difficult business challenge was COVID hitting in March/ April.This initial uncertainty related to the impact of Covid made it an exceedingly difficult environment in which to offer a new and unique service and caused many new startups to fail. Decision makers in organisations were wary of taking on new services and the skills needed to adapt to selling virtually took some time for our sales team to perfect. Covid-19 being one of the major challenges, we managed to gain 128,000 niche-skilled contractors across 126 countries on the platform.
How have you promoted your business?
Through digital marketing, PR, Events, networking (prior covid) and webinars. We focus on both Inbound and Outbound marketing strategies to generate leads. We advertise on Google AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter, and Instagram to attract both B2C & B2B users. We use the HubSpot marketing hub to run ads through the platform which allow us to track and collect lead details directly into HubSpot.
Where do you see the business in 3 years’ time?
To become a world leader in the hiring of IT Consultants and the go to place for Professional Contractors looking for their next opportunity.
What advice would you give to budding entrepreneurs?
Believe in yourself and dream big, if you want any idea to be successful you need to focus on execution and continuous improvement, fail quick and learn from it.
